Credits are a simple currency for all cloud services. Transcription uses credits based on how much audio you record, and AI actions use more depending on the model, so exact usage varies. Each plan above shows what its allowance covers. Need more? You can upgrade your plan or buy an add-on credit pack.
Are "Your API Keys" and "On-Device" modes really unlimited?
Yes! "Your API Keys" (BYOK) is available for lifetime deals only and is always unlimited without using credits. You use your own API keys (Deepgram, OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) at your provider's cost. Offline modes are unlimited for all paid plans and run entirely on your computer.
What's the difference between Lightweight and Premium AI?
Lightweight AI (Starter plan) uses fast, cost-effective models for basic formatting, polishing, and simple transformations. Premium AI (Pro and Pro Plus) uses advanced models for complex reasoning, creative writing, and sophisticated workflows.
Do credits roll over?
No. Monthly credits reset at the start of each billing cycle, and unused credits do not carry over. Add-on credit packs are different: those never expire.
What happens if I run out of credits?

How do I cancel or change my plan?
Open Contextli on your Mac, Windows PC or phone, go to Settings, then Billing, and you can cancel, switch between monthly and annual billing, or update your card. If you subscribed through the App Store, manage it under Subscriptions in your Apple ID settings. If you paid with a different email than the one you sign in with, contact support and we will sort it out.
